Lithuanian artists Agnė Jokšė and Anastasia Sosunova’s two-person exhibition 'Dance As You Wrestle' will be the first major presentation of both artists’ work in the UK. As part of the commissioning process, Sosunova will undertake a 1-month residency at Cell Studios.

New graphic prints, sculptures, and a site-specific installation by Anastasia Sosunova will trace how certain objects and images get ‘charged’ by analogy of a relic or electrical impulse. Her enquiry into the phenomenon of the veneration of relics in Christianity focuses on the Eastern Orthodox church's entanglement with Russian minority politics in Lithuania.

In parallel, Agnė Jokšė's new and remixed moving image installations, featuring footage of her extended family in Lithuania and diaspora in the UK, will explore care, compassion, and love through the lens of intergenerational relations constituted in parallel to societal and political changes linked to the dissolution of the Soviet Union.
