Bringing together the largest number of mappe seen in the UK since Boetti's retrospective at Tate Modern in 2012, the exhibition features maps ranging across the period 1978 to 1994, the year of Boetti's death. The presentation offers a rare opportunity to see these extraordinary works, all from private collections, that form an iconic part of Boetti’s oeuvre.
Individually, these maps offer a snapshot of time and place; together, they chart a geo-political history of the late twentieth century and raise questions about authorship, agency and our understanding of the world.
