Historical Group Show curated by Darren Coffield - Tales from the Colony Room: Art and Bohemia, curated by Darren Coffield.

The exhibition recounts the genesis of the modern and contemporary British art scene by exploring the history and relationships cultivated by many artists, writers, musicians, and bohemians who frequented the notorious The Colony Room in Soho, London. The exceptional works of art on display reflect a poignant and diverse range of voices in post-war Britain.

Tales from the Colony Room: Art and Bohemia presents works by Francis Bacon, Lucian Freud, Frank Auerbach, Jankel Adler, Jacob Epstein, Isabel Rawsthorne, R. B. Kitaj, Patrick Caulfield, Michael Clark, Maggi Hambling, Sarah Lucas, Daniel Chadwick, Keith Coventry, Mat Collishaw, Cecily Brown, Tracey Emin, Damien Hirst, Gary Hume, among others. The exhibition also features works by photographers Daniel Farson, Bruce Bernard, Harry Diamond, Michael Woods, David Bailey, Amelia Troubridge, Sophie Rickett, and many more.

The exhibition follows Coffield's critically acclaimed book, Tales from the Colony Room: Soho's Lost Bohemia, published in April 2020.
