Jeffrey Stuker - Next Year in Monte Carlo

Ben Hunter is delighted to present Jeffrey Stuker’s first solo exhibition at the gallery.
The exhibition features Mimicry and the Monte Carlo Predator, a digitally rendered film illustrating Stuker’s scholarly and artistic interest in mimicry, following its presentation at the Hammer Museum, LA in 2021. The film mirrors a large-format print of a computer-generated image of Common Mime butterflies.
The exhibition examines contemporary image-making, which can manifest deceptive representations of reality, and mimicry in nature, where it provides a strategy for the survival of certain species
