Jonathan S Hooper - Between the Granite and The Strandline
The follow-up to In Landscape, Jonathan Hooper’s first show at The Nine British Art, this new exhibition finds the Cornish painter reaching new heights.
Between the Granite and The Strandline takes as its subject the wind-carved tors of North Cornwall’s moors and the cliffs and bays of its coastline.
While undeniably about landscape, the elemental and spiritual are also at play in Hooper's abstract art. By constructing, deconstructing and reconstructing his canvases, in this new exhibition Hooper presents places as ever-changing worlds of experience.
