Kate Dunn - Skin of Light

Skin of light is an installation birthed from the concept of a trash trance chapel. Throughout the ages we have employed many methods in the attempt to reach a state of ascension: religion, art, architecture, music, dance, drugs.

Kate Dunn is a London based artist. Since 2018 Kate has worked using structures reminiscent of the altar, interested in the internal archive one experiences when faced with such an iconic shape.

Kate studied at Central Saint Martins of London Art School, The Florence Academy of Art, Italy and City & Guilds of London Art School. She has been in exhibitions such as WHEN SH*T HITS THE FAN with GUTS Gallery, THE HOUSE THAT WE BUILT, The Contemporary British Painting Prize 2018 and The Great Women Artist x Palazzo Monti Residency. This is her first solo exhibit.
