"No one Owns the Moon combines paintings of British long-distance runner Paula Radcliffe and My Octopus Teacher (documentary 2020) as a conduit to explore the 2020 and 2021 Lockdown.

Both bodies of work employ the human and alien world as a way to explore planetary escape during the worldwide pandemic through questioning the physical and emotional boundaries of our bodies.

These two narratives blur animal and human behaviour such as flight and fight, predator and prey as a metaphor for our relationships with one another and ourselves. Querying archetypes within western story-telling, individual perceptions of fact, fiction and identity in relationship to the female voice." - Lucy Evett
