Inspired by an intense exploration of classical and historic paintings, especially in relation to mood and palette, our curated solo exhibition brings together some of the most recent works on canvas and paper from Canadian painter Mark Thibeault’s on-going series ‘Archetypes and Allegory’.
Mark draws on certain tropes, figuration, architectural language and colour, building these into his paintings to create rich and expressive tapestries of abstraction.
