Talk
Michael Andrews [Dir. Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art] - On Painted Collage [during the exhibition of Craigie Aitchison and The Beaux Arts Generation]
Talk from the Director of one of - in my opinion - best art research institutions in UK. He'll really know what he's talking about.
The talk coincides with the 'Craigie Aitchison and The Beaux Arts Generation'. The exhibition has Aitchison’s work up to the mid-1990s, including a rare early butterfly painting, still lifes from the 1960s and early 1970s, and portraits and crucifixions. In a parallel space, a significant group of paintings and watercolours by Andrews will hang alongside nudes and still lifes by Uglow, and substantial early works by Auerbach and Kossoff.
