PM/AM, are thrilled to present a solo show with Nicolas Coleman, who recently undertook a residency with us at our North London studio space. The paintings in the show were all created during his time in the city.
The New York based figurative artist examines the roles of our complex psychologies and our responses to our surroundings, and how conflicts can arise between them. Painting in an informal style and with a richly tuned palette however, the immediacy of this work is deceptively upbeat and conceals concepts that are revealed only when the themes and atmosphere of the work are probed beyond the surface.
