David Messum Fine Art presents an exhibition of paintings from the Studio Estate of John Miller. David Messum Fine Art worked with John Miller and now with his Studio Estate for over 30 years. The exhibition will contain 45 paintings based around Miller’s iconic Beach Line scenes, as well as his Interior Landscapes and exotic, semi-figurative subjects.
Transportative, experiential, poetic, and sublime are amongst the many aspects and observations of a body of work that is located somewhere between figuration and abstraction. Above all others, one word may sufficiently unite them all in explaining the phenomenon of his paintings: Resonance. To say that Miller’s paintings resonate, reverberate, vibrate, pulsate, echo, is to identify the energy that induces the psychological and spiritual aspects that captivate the viewer, as well as the origin of his skill as a communicator through his visual art.
