Developing a bespoke process over a Virtual Reality headset, Chung has created a series of works entirely drawn in a simulated environment and converted into limited edition prints. The solo show contributes to Chung’s ongoing research practice that explores the collaboration between the human & non-human.

For more than a decade, Chung has been exploring the poetics of various modes of sensing and mark-making between the human and machine, organic and synthetic, and improvisational and computational. As a medium, the possibilities of drawing within a sculptural digital landscape extends traditional painting approaches with new spatial orientations. The drawn stroke takes on a dimensional and sculptural quality unlike those created with tangible and raw materials.
