Ten Artist Group Show - Blow Up
BLOW UP is a group exhibition that highlights the work of contemporary artists working in photography who distil the electric charisma of cinematic imagery in static, printed images.
Titled after the classic 1966 film by Michelangelo Antonioni about a photographer caught in a murder mystery set against the backdrop of 60s London psychedelia, BLOW UP assembles photographic works that stem from wildly diverse conceptual approaches to image-making that share the common thread of functioning as frozen moments pulled from parallel universes.
Whether documentative, portraiture, cinematic, or imagined formal composites, BLOW UP presents a collection of photographic works that speak to the pluralistic, multifaceted, and undivorceable relationship between photography and film.
